Manual of Medical Nutrition Therapy
The Louisiana Dietetic Association's Manual of Medical Nutrition Therapy was developed as a guide for dietitians and foodservice personnel working in hospitals and long term care facilities.

It also serves as a guide to physicians in prescribing appropriate nutrition interventions in these institutions.

The purpose of the LDA Manual of Medical Nutrition Therapy is to provide practical information on routine diets and their modifications for a variety of nutritional needs.

Bayou District Dietetic Association (BDDA)

BDDA supports American Dietetic Association members in the Terrebonne & Lafourche parish's while also representing other surrounding parish's. Our association represents members who work in many different scopes of dietetic practice such as clinical nutrition, food service management, school foodservice, and university level education. We are also very supportive of our student members. BDDA conducts several fundraisers throughout the year in order to award various scholarships. These scholarships benefit dietetics student members & also aid active members in attendance of ADA events such as the annual Public Policy Workshop help in Washington D.C. Membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at a location usually in Houma or Thibodaux. All business meetings are accompanied by an education program, which provides at least one credit of continuing professional education. BDDA members also participate in many health-related activities within the community.
